Literature Text

"Hello Bernadette." I turned to face the source of the voice behind me. My insides twisting, turning, creating knots that were the size of the Goblin City at least. A face I had not seen since I left the Aboveground, stepped out of the shadows. A menacing smirk evident upon his features.

"And who might you be?" I stood my ground, a frown accompanying my best glare as I noted some familiarity. I watched him scoff as he strode towards me, his hand grasping my shoulder with a roughness which was unbearable. Bruises were definitely going to erupt from that.
"You know damn well who I am." He pulled me towards him, "I came back for you. You are mine remember?" As I heard those words, anger bubbled up inside me, more intensely than the first time. I honestly couldn't believe what I was seeing or hearing. Could it really be who I think it was?
"Michael, I am not yours anymore. I belong to another."

Michael Fogerty was a fellow from school, a cocky guitarist in my music class and one of the school's most popular boys in the year. He had women all over him, which was partly why we had ended our relationship. That, and he hadn't the simplest idea of how to treat a woman. Thoughtfulness? He had none. He would always buy chocolates and leave them unwrapped. There were no surprises no matter how much effort I'd put into his gifts. And when you're with a person that buys you things he thinks you should have (he bought me a sex toy to try and improve our relationship which, ended in arguing) nothing is good enough for him when you attempt to buy him something simple. On top of all this, let's also say he wasn't the nicest person to be around if he'd had a bad day... Which seemed to be all the time lately.

"You cheated on me? How could you?" I sighed, annoyed with his presence even though he hadn't been here for an hour. The sooner we could get him out of here, the better.
"No. We parted ways before I left the Aboveground if I don't recall?" I could sense Jareth behind me, protective arms wrapped around my waist after I removed Michael's grip on my shoulder. His eyes glowing with hatred for the man in front of me. If looks could kill, there would be a gruesome sight in front of me I'm sure of it.
"Well, we may have but you belong to me slut." The crowd around me gasped as silence began to fill the room. Only to be broken by footsteps from Jareth as he walked towards Michael, a look of deep thought upon his face as his brows furrowed.
"A 'slut' you say?" He paused, his gloved hand finding its way to his chin before tapping it a few times in contemplation, "I am almost sure that this word is not used here. I can definitely assure you that your Queen is not a strumpet." Michael's jaw dropped in confusion as he looked from Jareth and back to me. He spotted the small tiara upon my head and scoffed once again, mumbling to himself words like, 'Bullshit'.
"I am the Goblin Queen. As the Queen of this realm, I could ask you to leave," I paced in thought, a devious grin creeping onto my lips, "or, I could have you put into the Bog of Eternal Stench. It's your choice."

Michael stayed put. It was obvious that his plan was failing. There wasn't anyway possible to even think of kidnapping me and bringing me back to the Aboveground. Hell, he didn't even remember how he got to the Underground in the first place. Was it his wish to see the last woman he loved to inspire him to come up with a plan? Who knows?
"Fuck!" He clasped his hand, glancing into my expression of obvious indifference. I chuckled before Jareth's expression changed to absolute fury.
"Guards! Please escort this... Horrible man to the bog!" About ten goblins came and surrounded Michael, prodding him with their swords and foils. One even attempted to sick their chicken on him, but to no avail. As Michael attempted to run, the goblins were faster. A few stopped in front of him and pulled his pants legs, allowing him to collapse to the ground with protest. He was dragged out of sight, not to be seen again hopefully.

"I told you my sweet, there would not be any chance of spoiling our wonderful night." Jareth turned to face our guests, a cheerful grin now back on his features. That changed rapidly though as he heard gasps followed by a soft thud beside him.

Hello everyone! I am back. Right now, I'm dealing with death in my family and I really needed something to fall back on. As I wrote in the comments in part 7, I have actually finished writing this story in my notebook, but there will hopefully be more surprises! I hope you enjoy it! :)
(This chapter also contains swears, if you don't like it, don't read it).

I also don't own Labyrinth, the goblins or Jareth (I wish I did own him though).
